We have now released updates for both ZBrush and ZBrushCore, bringing them to version 2020.1.4.
Here’s what’s inside:
ZBrush
2020.1.4
- Fixed: Issue preventing ZBrush from communicating securely with the licensing server. This did not affect floating licenses – only those copies with a license key.

- Fixed: Pressure sensitivity when using Remote Desktop.
- Fixed: Pressure sensitivity when using mobile devices such as a Windows Surface device.

- Fixed: Additional edit point added when holding Spacebar with any brush that makes use of the Ctrl+Shift combination. For example: Select Lasso, Clip brushes, Trim brushes, and CreaseCurve.

How to Update from version 2018 or above (any version).
Anyone with ZBrush 2020 (any point release) can use ZUpgrader. This is found in your ZBrush folder. Simply run it and follow the on-screen instructions to locate the update, download and install.
Otherwise, you can do a full installation instead of an update installation:
Uninstall your current version, then log into your account on My Licenses. There you will see the option to download the 2020.1.4 installer.
Note for Trial Users: You cannot download from My Licenses. Instead, locate the email that was sent to you after registering for the Trial. The link in that email has been renewed to work until June 9. If you cannot locate that email or if the link is once again expired, please open a Support conversation to have your link renewed.
Note for Floating License customers: Server managed licenses (aka floating) cannot be updated by either of these methods. Please have your IT manager submit a Support ticket and include one of your existing license files. We will reply with upgrade instructions.
How to Upgrade from Earlier Versions
If you have ZBrush 4.x or the original release of ZBrushCore you will need to upgrade your license before you can download the 2020.1.4 installer. Lot into your account at My Licenses and go to the appropriate tab (either ZBrush or ZBrushCore). There you will see a blue Upgrade button. Click that and follow the on-screen instructions. Once upgraded you will have a new serial number and will then be able to download the 2020.1.4 installer directly from My Licenses.
